Information about Astragalus Root
Astragalus root has been used for thousands of years throughout Asia and is one of the most revered botanicals in traditional Chinese medicine.
Astragalus is a traditional Chinese herb that’s used to treat many problems in the body. But it's known for helping to boost the body's immunity and to fight viruses—some of the toughest germs around.
In the east, astragalus is referred to as an adaptogen. This means that it helps the body to adapt to resist the effects of stress and recover from disease.
Astragalus root is rich in antioxidants, plant sterols and is often used for the of making tea blends, infusions and tinctures.
Although astragalus is not generally the first herb that comes to mind when it comes to topical use, the herb can be infused in oil for use in the preparation of skin salves and ointments.

Culinary Uses: Cut and sifted dried astragalus root can be used for the making teas, infusions and tinctures.
