These abalone shells are commercial grade. Markings will vary considerably, with natural imperfections. The larger the shell, the older it is, and there will be more imperfections from aging and living in the oceans. The interiors are highly iridescent with colorful blues, greens and silver as well as black markings.
Abalone shells are ideal containers for burning loose sages and cedar, or cone and resin incense. They are also great for keeping your sage and cedar smudge sticks in when the stick is lit, but you don't want to hold it.
